Having a delicious, creamy salad dressing on hand makes it easier to get everyone in your household — from finicky kids to stubborn grown-ups — excited about eating their vegetables. In this video, Jennifer Cornbleet shares her raw, dairy-free version of the all-American favorite: ranch dressing.

Soaked raw cashews give this raw salad dressing its velvety texture.

Salt is a key ingredient in this simple recipe, so Jennifer explains how to select a good quality salt and reveals how the color of salt can indicate the presence of healthy minerals.

The iconic ‘ranch taste’ is achieved with tangy lemon juice and onion and garlic powders which provide a smoky, muted flavor. Commercially bottled dressings generally get their flavor profile from chemicals and artificial ingredients.

Since there is no mayonnaise base to this dressing, it’s perfect for when you want to eat raw on the go. It keeps for hours at room temperature with no concern about spoilage.

Visit http://www.learnrawfood.com to see more raw food recipes. Raw food author and chef Jennifer Cornbleet shares how to prepare Not Tuna Pâté & Crudités, especially for lunch. From her DVD, Raw Food Made Easy.

Jennifer’s raw, light, and healthy Not Tuna Pâté is a terrific mealtime multi-tasker. It keeps beautifully in the refrigerator and its easy to double or even triple the recipe so you have it on hand all week.

Similar to a dip, but with a culinary pedigree, Not Tuna Pate is made from soaked nuts and seeds that are ground in food processor and than flavored with herbs and aromatics.

• Raw sunflower seeds
• Raw Almonds
• Fresh lemon juice
• Salt
• Celery
• Onion
• Fresh Parsley

This easy raw food delight can spread onto Romaine lettuce leaves for a satisfying take-to-the-office lunch or afternoon snack for kids and teens. You can layer it between thick slices of juicy tomato for a dainty brunch dish. It can be spooned into sweet bell peppers to become an easy dinner entrée or be served as a dip.

You can’t have a dip without chips. So as well as preparing Not Tuna Pate, Jennifer shows you how to cut vegetables like zucchini into perfect mouth-sized chips so that you and your guests don’t ‘double dip.’

And she has some special tips for cutting broccoli florets so that they stay intact and don’t turn into crumbles.

Visit http://www.learnrawfood.com to see more raw food recipes. Raw food author and chef Jennifer Cornbleet shares how to prepare garden vegetable soup, especially good for lunch. From her DVD, Raw Food Made Easy.

In this video, Jennifer Cornbleet shows how to use your knife and blender to create a simple, but satisfying raw soup.

Before getting down to a specific recipe, Jennifer details the six basic components that go into every raw soup. This will allow you to mix and whatever ingredients you have in your refrigerator and ‘improvise’ your way to a delicious soup.

• Watery greens or vegetables (such as tomatoes) for easy blending

• Water to thin out the vegetables

• Citrus juice to perk up the flavor

• A salty seasoning (salt or miso)

• Pungent seasonings (herbs, spices, onion, garlic, etc.)

• Fat (such as avocado or olive oil) to make the soup creamy

Then Jennifer walks you step-by-step through an actual soup preparation featuring unpeeled zucchini, celery, spinach, fresh basil, tomato, lemon juice, salt, miso, water, garlic, and green onion.

You’ll even discover the best order to add your veggies to the blender to ensure that everything combines properly and find out why you should wait until the very end of the blending process to add avocado.

A raw, light, and healthy Garden Vegetable Soup is a perfect way to get more vegetables into your diet and a nice change of pace from a lunchtime salad.
